MAR calls for International Day of Struggle on March 14

Three months have passed since the conclusion of the Fourth International Meeting of Communities Affected by Dams and Climate Crisis, held from November 7 to 12, 2025, in the city of Belém do Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon. This period has been marked by the organization of the Movement at the national and continental levels.
Inspired by the Manifesto in which we decided to build the International Movement of People Affected by Dams, Socio-Environmental Crimes, and Climate Crisis, we call for mobilization and advocacy actions as part of the struggle of those affected in the vindication of their rights, on the occasion of March 14, Day of Struggle for the Rights of Those Affected, in defense of Rivers, Water, and Life. The proposal is to make this Day a multiplying force for the Movement we are building.
Water for life, not for death!
Affected people of the world: Unite!
